OK! LOVE the DOF!!! I think I would like to see it in b/w w/selective coloring! I am a b/w girl too!

I agree....b&w w/selective coloring. Actually,IMO, I think color on this would be great too if his shirt was a solid color. I love the dof.....still being able to see his very cute smile :)

Agreed. I like the b&w better, but only a little. The color is really nice, too! The stripes on his shirt are a little distracting from the flower, but not so much that it makes it an unpleasant pic. Your focus is perfect. As is the dof you used. Great job!!
And, nice to know I'm not alone in using the same subject a few times in a row! :) It's hard to get botanical anything in Feb!!

I love the DOF and the color. I do think it would be an awesome shot in B&W with the flower in color, because it would dull his shirt, which is a bit distracting. But, not enough to make this a bad shot. It's really great! I love his smile!

I think the selective color would be great for this shot of your handsome son, just because the stripes in his shirt or distracting. Great shot.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually prefer the selective color! I agree, maybe if the shirt had been a solid, it may have been a different story. Great shot. though! How did you get a boy to hold a flower for a picture?!?!?

Great dof again. His shirt color competes with the flower so teh b/w on him with selective color on the flower would be great :) That flower is holding up! Any flower I had would have already wilted at this point :)

Hi Cherry,
I agree with all the posters so far. I like the color photo but I think the strips are a little distracting. As always great job on the DOF and focus. Your photo's are always so crisp. My biggest problem right now is that my photos are very soft, which I'm working on.
Thank you so much for always posting on my blog. I love your comments and helpful advice. You ROCK!!

The selective color would work well on this shot. The stripes in your DS's shirt are a bit distracting. Great DOF on these shots, but I would like to see the kids just a teensy bit clearer. Not in focus but not as blurred. Does this make sense?

Very cute picture! I like the DOF a lot and the focus is very nice! I think his shirt's a bit busy though since it's directly behind the flower so you might want to try selective color with just the flower in color. I think that would look pretty neat with this shot!

I would prefer the selective coloring too.

I've never been a follower, but I am going to agree with the masses! Selective color.
Great Shot! Your focus is sharp as a tack & the DOF is great.

Thanks for the comments everyone!! I TOTALLY agree - the shirt is just way toooooo busy but i just too lazy to convert it!! ...and i might also add that his blue buzz lightyear watch doesn't work with the photo either!! lol!!
Jenluvs2scrap - thanks for the comment!! I purposely made the kids REALLY blurred - i just thought that if i had them only 'a little bit' blurred, then it would just look like a mistake. KWIM? i'm just afraid that someone who doesn't know that much about photography would look at it and kinda be like, 'whooooa...what happened?!?!?her focus is really off!!'.
Thanks again everyone -- maybe i will convert this one to b&w...yippee, now i have a post for tomorrow!!
