My little guy at one of his 1st hockey practices. I didn't think this was too bad for being indoors and pretty far away. Here he is all geared up...

not too bad?? I think it's fantastic!! And so clear with that low ss. Great job! I love that you can see his eyes so well, even with the mask. Super job!!!

i agree with jan, i think you did great! especially with that ss. try shooting in TV mode so that your av sets automatically.
your colors looks pretty nice and the whites look white too.
what lens did you use?

Thanks ladies!!...yes i hand-held this again. I stabilized my arms on the rink edge.

Cristina - thanks for the tip on the TV mode - i really gotta try that - it's the only setting that i haven't experimented with. I took this photo with my 85mm. I love that thing!! =). Believe it or not - i did nothing to this photo except ran noiseware (gotta love that thing too =)), resized for web and added the border and watermark. I really don't know how i got the whites so white!! lol!! maybe it's the lens that got me those bright colors?!? gotta go back and check (i'm at work now) what my WB was but i'm sure it was on Auto since back then i didn't know any better and never changed it!! Thanks for tagging me - i saw this going around on the blogs lately and wondered who i would try and tag if someone TAGGED ME. You were on my list =).....too bad you beat me to it!! I'll have to play tonight when i get home
